#SPANC15 Award Winners Announced
Student journalists from across the country arrived at Southampton University this weekend, to mark the third annual conference of the Student Publication Association.
More than 100 delegates attended the conference at SUSU, which featured speakers including Independent Voices Editor Simon O’Hagan and Paula O’Shea a former ITN and BBC broadcast journalist.
Megan Down, Host Officer for the Conference, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to be the host of SPANC for 2015.
“Having been involved with the SPA since it’s formation back in 2013, it was really special to bring it back to its roots and host an awesome conference for student journalists from across the country.
She added: “I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!”
Other sessions at the conference included a masterclass on making content go viral from Student Beans’ Brenda Wong and a whistlestop guide to digital media by journalism.co.uk News Editor Alastair Reid.
